Kacy Latham, M.A., NCC, LPC Associate supervised by Dr. Tara Fox, Ph.D., LPC Supervisor
I’m Kacy Latham, counselor and owner of Wholeheart Counseling in Texas. I provide individual, family, and group therapy statewide through telehealth and in-person locally.
I work from a holistic framework, utilizing aspects of many therapeutic modalities depending on each client's personality, preferences, and goals. Clients often start the process with a list of symptoms—anxiety, panic attacks, or relational conflict. However, most of my clients eventually realize that their symptoms (like anxiety) are actually serving a purpose; they are there for a reason.
Instead of focusing solely on the symptom—which is like the smoke—we seek out the source of the issue: the smoldering fire buried deep within unconscious emotional learnings. By framing symptoms as messengers rather than problems, I take a pro-symptom approach. This shift usually results in change that is deep and far more long-lasting than standard symptom management.
When I chose to become a mental health practitioner, my goal was to help victims of abuse reclaim their autonomy and vitality. I didn’t expect to find that so many survivors seeking help also happened to be temperamentally sensitive, open-minded, creative, neurodivergent, or of above-average intelligence. Now, I understand that this isn’t a coincidence. The overlap between exploitative environments and gifted, divergent thinkers requires a specialized approach—one that combines a deep knowledge of narcissistic systems with an understanding of the specific ways neurodivergent traits are weaponized in toxic dynamics. My work is dedicated to helping you untangle these complex threads so you can finally trust your own perception and reclaim your brilliance."

Before We Begin…
Starting therapy shouldn't feel like a leap of faith into the dark. I believe in 'informed' healing—where you have all the facts, the logic, and the security details before we ever dive into the deep stuff. Here is the 'how' and 'why' behind the way I protect my clients."
