Welcome! I'm Kacy Latham, the owner of Wholeheart Counseling, PLLC. As an LPC-Associate and a dedicated counselor in Texas, my goal is to help others reclaim their core sense of self and regain purpose, autonomy, and peace.  Whether you're dealing with domestic abuse, childhood trauma, religious abuse, or lingering symptoms like depression and anxiety, I will listen and we will figure it out together. Through our work,  we'll explore your experiences, build resilience, and find the strength to move forward. You're not alone on this journey, and your story deserves a compassionate witness who helps you recognize how capable and free you can be.

Recognize Toxic Cycles

Recognizing patterns, cycles, and causes of coercive and controlling behaviors is a top priority for our work together. Often, we find ourselves desensitised to toxic attitudes and behaviors because it feels "normal." As a therapist, I will guide you in identifying these recurring patterns and the underlying motives so that you can protect your reality. I will provide psychoeducation so that you can analyze and observe interactions with healthy sense of detachment and wisdom. With this expanded and informed perspecti,ve you will be able to cultivate more effective communication, set appropriate boundaries, and protect your inner world more effectively.

Gaining deep self-knowledge is a transformative journey that empowers you to understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors on a profound level.  One consequence of being in an unhealthy relationship is that it can cause us to abandon ourselves. When our nervous system is hijacked by fear, we learn to ignore our emotions and bury our feelings. Reconnecting with your feelings is a vital step toward self-awareness and healing. As a therapist, I encourage you to take the time to explore and understand your emotions. This journey involves acknowledging both the positive and negative feelings you experience, creating a safe space for them to surface. By practicing mindfulness and emotional check-ins, you can learn to embrace your feelings rather than fear them. My current rate is $75 per individual session. I do have sliding scale options for special cases.
